Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Meets with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan

Director of the SCO RATS Executive Committee Mr. Jumakhon Giyosov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Vinod Kumar at the request of the Indian side at the SCO RATS Executive Committee on February 1, 2019.

The Indian Ambassador congratulated Mr. Giyosov on taking office as a Director. He pointed out the growing role and involvement of the SCO RATS in resolving specific issues on the international agenda. He praised its activities and stressed the importance of the tasks aimed at ensuring security in the region.

He said that the launch of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in the Republic of Uzbekistan will further strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries of the Organization which are already successfully developing.

The director thanked Mr. Vinod Kumar for the kind words of support and congratulated him on the excellent celebration of India’s Independence Day.

He noted that the management of the competent authorities of the Republic of India provide a lot of attention and support to the activities of the RATS SCO, and commented on the high level and active participation of their delegations in the RATS events.

He expressed confidence that the training seminar on countering cyber-terrorism.

to be held in February 2019 in Hyderabad (India) will be a successful event.

During the conversation, the parties also discussed the upcoming visit of the Director to India, events scheduled and other organizational issues related to the activities of the SCO RATS.

The meeting was held in the atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
