SENIOR EXPERT OF SCO RATS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON CYBERSPACE INFORMATION SECURITY REGULATION AND TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

    On December 3-6, 2014, Mr. Auanasov, Senior Expert of SCO RATS Executive Committee attended in Bishkek of Kyrgyzstan the “Seminar on Cyberspace Information Security Regulation and Technical Analysis”.

    The Seminar was co-hosted by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the CIS Regional Telecommunication Union.

    75 experts including administrators, regulators and operators engaged in network communication technology security of government organizations, civil society and regional organizations from 15 countries had an extensive exchange of views on the establishment of the legal basis for the protection of personal data and the technical features of electronic equipments of network communications technology, as well as other practical issues.

    Participants pointed out that there is still a lack of international consensus on "Information Security", and many network security problems have not yet been fully confirmed.

    In the fifth part of the Seminar, the parties discussed issues regarding national and economic security strategy in the field of network communication technology, monitoring and international challenges for the prevention of terrorism in social networking sites, cybercrime, internet management and emergency equipment protection, elaborated and compared approaches of network security in Europe, Asia, North America, CIS countries and the United Kingdom.

    In the third part of the Seminar, Mr. Auanasov delivered a report, and chaired the fifth part entitled “Cyber Terrorism and Emergency Equipment Protection”.
