SCO RATS takes part in the meeting of the SCO Group of Experts on International Information Security

On April 18-19, 2024, a delegation of the SCO RATS Executive Committee took part in the regular meeting of the SCO Group of Experts on International Information Security (IIS) held in a hybrid format under the chairmanship of the Russian side in Moscow.

In addition to experts from the SCO countries, the event was attended by delegations of the SCO Secretariat and the Republic of Belarus as an observer state.

Particular attention is paid to strengthening multilateral cooperation in the field of information security, including interaction through specialized multilateral platforms, primarily within the UN, in order to create a safe, fair and open information space.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation and extension of the Plan of Interaction of the SCO Member States on International Security Issues for 2022-2023. A number of proposals to establish dialogue in the financial sector through the central (national) banks of the SCO member states were put forward.
