On February 24, 2025, the RATS SCO Executive Committee hosted a meeting between the Director of the Executive Committee Ularbek Sharsheev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Uzbekistan Hassan Bin Hamza Hashem.

Hassan Bin Hamza Hashem noted the importance of establishing cooperation between the State of Qatar, a country with the official status of an SCO dialogue partner, and the SCO RATS Executive Committee, on cooperation in countering terrorism and extremism in the region.

In this context, the Ambassador of Qatar highly appreciated the briefing on the SCO activities in the field of combating terrorism, separatism and extremism previously held by the SCO RATS Executive Committee for diplomatic missions of the SCO dialogue partner states accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Director of the Executive Committee Ularbek Sharsheev noted the positive contribution of the representatives of the State of Qatar to the events in the SCO format, including the annual international scientific and practical conference on countering terrorism held by the RATS.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current international and regional security issues, discussed organizational and other issues related to further development of cooperation in the field of security.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
