The Director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO Ularbek Sharsheev and the Head of the Regional Representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Central Asia Biljana Milosevic held a meeting on February 25, 2025.

The parties noted the positive dynamics of development of cooperation, in particular, the contribution of the ICRC to the activities of the annual international scientific and practical conference of the SCO RATS.

They exchanged views on the humanitarian situation in Syria and Iraq, measures taken with respect to women and children in armed conflict zones, and the interaction of the ICRC with the competent authorities of the relevant countries in the field of rehabilitation and reintegration of citizens returned to their home countries through repatriation process.

The parties agreed to consider a number of measures to further deepen cooperation on humanitarian aspects in the field of countering international terrorism and extremism.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of goodwill and constructive dialogue.
