The Director of the Executive Committee Ularbek Sharsheev met with the delegation of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) on February 14, 2025, at the headquarters of the SCO RATS Executive Committee.

At the beginning of the event, Deputy Director of ISRS Bakhtiyor Mustafayev, on behalf of the Director of ISIS, thanked the Director of the Executive Committee for organizing the meeting and congratulated him on his appointment to the post. In turn, Ularbek Sharsheev expressed gratitude for the congratulations and the interest in the activities of the Executive Committee which is obvious from the regular participation of ISRS representatives in the annual international conference of the SCO RATS.

In order to strengthen cooperation to counter terrorism, separatism and extremism, the Parties voiced a number of initiatives regarding further joint activities.

In addition, during the meeting, representatives of the Parties shared their views on the situation in Afghanistan and Syria. The conversation focused on the need for a preventive approach in the fight against terrorist threats.

The meeting was held in a businesslike atmosphere and in the form of a constructive dialogue. The initiatives expressed were accepted for development. They expressed readiness to continue developing cooperation between the SCO RATS and ISRS, promoting the consolidation of efforts in the field of countering terrorism, separatism and extremism.
