The 90th meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (SKPV) was held on May 28, 2025, in Moscow.

At the invitation of the SKPV Coordination Service, the event was attended by delegations from the permanent bodies of the CIS (the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the Office for the Coordination of the Fight Against Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime on the Territory of CIS member-states), as well as the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The meeting participants exchanged information on the situation at the external borders of the CIS member states.

The Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Ularbek Sharsheev briefed the meeting participants on the situation at the external borders of the SCO member states and put forward an initiative to further improve cooperation between the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS and SKPV Coordination Service to strengthen the border security system.

The meeting took place in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere. As a result, 14 decisions were adopted aiming at further strengthening and expanding multilateral border cooperation.
