A delegation of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS took part in the Interpol Partners 2025 Conference: “Invest in a Secure World,” which was held on 2 July 2025 at the Interpol General Secretariat (Lyon, France).
The event was attended by representatives of ministries of internal affairs and foreign affairs, judicial authorities, international and regional organisations, development agencies and academic communities dealing with security issues.
The conference aimed to showcase Interpol's role in supporting its 196 member countries, as well as the measures it is taking in cooperation with partner organisations through targeted programmes to counter global threats, including counter-terrorism and border security, combating crimes against children, cybercrime, environmental crime, drug trafficking and other forms of transnational organised crime.
The conference included a meeting with Darrin Jones, Executive Director of the Partnership and Planning Department of the INTERPOL General Secretariat.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation between RATS SCO and Interpol, in particular, they outlined priority areas and forms of cooperation for the near future on countering international terrorism.
The events were held in a spirit of partnership and constructive dialogue.
