Delegation of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS took part in the 3rd International Forum “From Poverty to Prosperity”
On September 17, 2025, the capital of Namangan Region of Uzbekistan hosted the 3rd International Forum on Poverty Reduction titled “From Poverty to Prosperity,” which brought together leading global experts, representatives of international organizations, and financial institutions.
A delegation of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization took part in the event. The forum became a platform for discussing new solutions to fight poverty and social inequality.
Key guests included the President of the Islamic Development Bank, the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank, the First Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia, and the Global Director of Poverty Reduction at the World Bank. In total, the forum brought together about 200 international experts.
Participants discussed innovative approaches in areas such as market demand responsiveness, Islamic finance opportunities, business inclusiveness, and investment in human capital.
The address by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev attracted particular attention. The head of state emphasized that the country has all conditions in place to completely eradicate absolute poverty by 2030.
The forum in Namangan became another step towards strengthening international cooperation on sustainable development and creating conditions for improving living standards for millions of people.
