A delegation of the SCO RATS Executive Committee led by Deputy Director Umid Tashkuziev participated in the event titled "Synergy of Approaches of the CIS, CSTO, and SCO in Deradicalization: Challenges and Opportunities" held on October 28, 2025, in Minsk.
The event brought together representatives of international organizations, including the CSTO, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism, and the heads of the relevant departments of the CIS member states' foreign affairs agencies.
The participants discussed national experiences and current measures to counter extremist ideology, prevent youth radicalization, and integrate rehabilitation and educational strategies.
It was noted that RATS SCO continues to strengthen the legal framework and cooperation between competent authorities in the fight against terrorism, separatism, and extremism, arranges the exchange of information, including on internet-related threats, and interacts with international security structures.
Particular attention was paid to the "Program for Cooperation in Countering Extremist Ideology for 2026–2030," adopted at the Tianjin Summit, as well as the decision to establish a Universal Center for Countering Security Challenges and Threats to SCO Member States under the RATS.
