Joint Working Group held a meeting on prevention of the use of the Internet for terrorist, separatist and extremist purposes

A regular meeting of the Joint Working Group of experts of the competent authorities of the SCO member states and representatives of the SCO RATS Executive Committee to develop proposals for identifying, preventing and suppressing the use of the Internet for terrorist, separatist and extremist purposes was held from February 28-March 2, 2023, in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, under the chairmanship of the Kazakh side.

 

During the meeting, the experts exchanged views on the relevant issues related to countering the use of the Internet for terrorist, separatist and extremist purposes, and agreed on approaches to the implementation of new projects and modes of interaction between the competent authorities of the SCO member states.

 

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.

 

The heads of delegations of the competent authorities of the SCO member states expressed their gratitude to the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS and the Kazakh side for the excellent organization of the event.
