Celebrating the 19th anniversary of the SCO RATS

The 19th anniversary of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been celebrated at the SCO RATS Executive Committee headquarters on June 15, 2023.

The event was attended by representatives of a number of international organizations, the competent authorities of the SCO member states, the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, diplomatic missions of the SCO member states accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan, observer and dialogue partner states, and permanent missions of SCO members states at the SCO RATS.

Director of the Executive Committee of the RATS SCO Ruslan Mirzaev in his address briefly highlighted the main stages of the functioning of this permanent body of the SCO, emphasizing that over a relatively short historical period of existence, the RATS has made a significant contribution to the development of the SCO, has become its supporting pillar and coordinating center to counter terrorism, separatism and extremism at the regional and global levels.

It was also noted that in the forthcoming period, the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS will continue to work on improving the interaction of the competent authorities and developing additional measures that will give impetus and strengthen the practical component of anti-terrorist cooperation.
