Seven workers killed by militants in Pakistan

Early on Thursday, unknown gunmen attacked a residential building in the Gwadar district of southwest Pakistan's Balochistan province, killing seven workers. This was reported by the local police.

Police said that several unidentified gunmen burst into the house and opened fire on the workers sleeping in the rooms, killing seven of them and injuring another one.

Police and rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene and transported the bodies and the injured person to the hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack and reiterated the government's commitment to eradicating terrorism and its supporters in the province, pledging to take strong action against those responsible for such acts.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
