A terrorist attack in the Pishin district of Pakistan's Balochistan province left two children and a woman dead and 13 more people injured, including two police officers, RIA Novosti reported, citing the Dawn newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the attack took place near a large market in the district. An improvised explosive device hidden in a parked motorcycle was detonated near the office of the deputy chief police commissioner of the district.

Terrorist activity on the border with Iran in Balochistan has intensified since 2022, when the Pakistani Taliban broke the "fragile peace" reached with the Pakistani authorities.

Terrorist attacks in this region usually target police officers and local administration employees, the media notes.
