At least four security officers killed in suicide attack in Pakistan

At least four security personnel were killed and five others wounded in a suicide attack in northwestern Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Associated Press reported, citing police.

According to the information provided, the incident took place at a checkpoint in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan near the border with Afghanistan. A car packed with explosives was rammed into a security post, killing four people and wounding five others. They were hospitalized in critical condition.

A number of media reported eight deaths, including two servicemen, four police officers and two civilians. Militants associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) organization have claimed responsibility for the attack.
