FOUR POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA PROVINCE IN PAKISTAN

In Pakistan, four policemen were killed in an attack in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and four more were injured. The day before, the militants reportedly fired at a police station in Lakki Marwat, after which they fled. The security forces sent reinforcements to the city to look for the attackers. No one has yet taken responsibility for the attack.

Besides, about 25 militants of the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP, banned in the Russian Federation) tried to escape from custody in Bannu. Using improvised knives, the prisoners disarmed the guards and took them hostage. However, they failed to leave the perimeter of the facility. The militants demanded unimpeded passage to Afghanistan. According to some reports, the Pakistani authorities have begun negotiations with the leadership of the TTP for the release of the hostages.
