Seven people killed in blast in Pakistan

Seven people, among them five children, were killed in a blast in Pakistan. Balochistan provincial chief Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack and said 17 people were injured. A policeman was among the dead.

The blast occurred near a civil hospital, near a girls' school. The device was believed to have been attached to a motorcycle and detonated near a police patrol, Dawn reports.

Provincial authorities said the terrorists were targeting children and they vowed to take revenge. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and caretaker President Yousaf Raza Gilani condemned the attack and called on the nation to unite against terrorism.
