Blast in southwest Pakistan kills one and injures 35

On January 6, an improvised explosive device detonated in the city of Turbat in southwestern Pakistan, killing one person and injuring 35, Zakon.kz reports.

According to AP, footage from the scene showed vehicles driving through the city before an explosion took place and one car went up in flames.

Eight of the injured people are in critical condition, while the rest are in stable condition. Most of the victims were servicemen. The device was in a car parked on the side of the road and was detonated remotely.

A separatist group called the Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the incident.
