Islamabad: Balochistan train attack orchestrated from Afghanistan
The attack on the Jaffer Express passenger train in Pakistan's Balochistan was carried out by militants from Afghanistan, the Pakistani army stated on March 13, Ariana News reported.
In an official statement, the Pakistani army said that during the attack, the militants were in contact with the attackers via satellite phones. In this regard, it called on the government of the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan" (the Taliban's self-designation of the country) to prevent Afghan territory from being abused to attack Pakistan.
The spokesman for the Pakistani army Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also said on Dunya News TV that Afghanistan was supporting the militants and warned that the attack on the train was a "game changer".
" Let me say this very clearly: whoever did this, will be caught and brought to justice. Let me also say that this Jaffer Express incident is a game changer. "\We cannot allow anyone to attack Pakistanis on behalf of their foreign customers," Chaudhry said, vowing to track down the culprits wherever they are.
The Islamic Emirate has repeatedly rejected Pakistani accusations that attacks in the country were being orchestrated from Afghanistan.
