Iran condemns terrorist attack in Mehristan city and killing of Pakistani citizens
Pars Today - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the terrorist attack in Mehristan city in Sistan and Balochistan province that killed several Pakistani nationals.
Ismail Baqaei described the terrorist attack that killed innocent people as a crime contrary to all Islamic principles, legal and humanitarian norms. Expressing condolences to the bereaved families, the Government and the people of Pakistan, he assured that the competent security and judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran would make every effort to identify the perpetrators and masterminds of the crime and bring them to justice.
Condemning all forms of terrorism, Baqaei stressed the need to counter this sinister phenomenon at national and regional levels and expressed Iran's committment to strengthen cooperation and coordination in this field.
IRNA reported that unknown gunmen killed at least eight Pakistani nationals working in the field of car repair in a terrorist attack on Saturday morning in Hizabad Payin village in Mehristan district of Sistan and Balochistan province.
