Five paramilitary troops killed in a bomb blast in southwestern Pakistan

At least five members of paramilitary forces were killed and six others wounded in a car bomb attack targeting a security convoy in Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan on Tuesday, the Xinhua news agency reported, citing security sources.

The incident occurred in the Kachhi when an improvised explosive device struck a Frontier Corps convoy, Xinhua sources said on condition of anonymity.

“The convoy, consisting of six vehicles, was moving normally when the explosion took place, killing and injuring people,” officials confirmed.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. However, local security sources noted that the Balochistan Liberation Army-Azad faction (BLA-A) maintains a strong presence in the region, with several other small armed groups also believed to operate in the vicinity.
