Nearly 50 militants stormed a MOL natural gas and oil plant in northwest Pakistan, killing six people, Reuters reported, citing local police.

“The militants broke into the oil and gas plant, killing four policemen and two security guards. The attack by up to 50 militants took place at facilities run by MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company in Hangu district, police official Irfan Khan told the agency.

According to the agency, citing Khan, the incident lasted for several hours in the Hangu district near the Afghan border.

No group has claimed responsibility so far, according to the agency.
