Militants attack Pakistani military checkpoint

In Pakistan, during an attack by Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants on a checkpoint of the country's armed forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, three soldiers were killed and eight more were injured. After the shootout, the terrorists tried to escape, but the security forces overtook them and eliminated the four attackers.

In the same province, TTP militants carried out several more attacks on law enforcement officers. Two police officers were killed in a clash with the Pakistani Taliban. One terrorist was neutralized.

In Peshawar, the security officers eliminated a TTP member who fired at employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The attacker's body was tied to an armored car and put on public display.
