An explosion occurred at the gates of the Russian embassy in Kabul. Two employees of the diplomatic mission were killed, Podrobno.uz correspondent reports citing data from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“An “unknown militant” set off an explosive device near the entrance to the consular section of the Russian embassy in Kabul at 10:50 am Kabul time. As a result of the attack, two employees of the diplomatic mission were killed, and there are also victims among Afghan citizens. The Embassy is in close contact with the Afghan security services which are investigating the attack,” the Russian foreign ministry said.

The explosion occurred when a Russian diplomat came out to announce the names of visa applicants. Among the Afghans, 15 to 20 people were injured.
