Policemen killed by militants in Iran

Four police officers were killed in an attack by militants in southeastern Iran. This was reported by RIAC Iranian expert Nikita Smagin.

A group of armed men in the province of Sistan and Balochistan attacked the traffic police on the road between Khash and Teftan settlements.

This is not the first major attack on security forces in the province in recent times. In early July, militants attacked a police station in the city of Zahedan, killing two policemen and injuring two more.

Then the radical terrorist group Jaish ul-Adl, operating in the province of Sistan and Balochistan, claimed responsibility for the attack.
