Policeman killed in attack in northwest Pakistan

A policeman was killed and two others were injured in a shootout in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan. The clash took place on Saturday evening. Unidentified gunmen ambushed a police vehicle and fired at it as it passed by, police said in a statement.

The attack sparked a shootout. Police cordoned off the area to investigate. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
