21 people injured as a result of a terrorist attack in Pakistan

At least 21 people were injured in a terrorist attack in Bannu area of Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of security forces heading to North Waziristan for an anti-terrorism operation, the Dawn newspaper reported. The explosion killed a civilian and injured 21 people, including 13 military personnel. The wounded soldiers were taken to hospital, and three of them are in critical condition.

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), whose militants are based in Afghanistan, claimed responsibility for the attack. On November 26, security forces eliminated eight TTP extremists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
