PENTAGON CONFIRMED LIQUIDATION OF DAESH LEADER

The leader of Daesh terrorist group (banned in the Russian Federation) in Syria was eliminated in mid-October. This was reported by the press service of the US Central Command on November 30.

“The death of Abu al-Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qureishi in mid-October was another blow to Daesh. This operation was carried out by the Free Syrian Army in the Syrian province of Deraa,” the statement said.

Earlier in the day, Reuters reported on the elimination of Abu al-Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi. It was indicated that the group selected Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Quraishi as a successor.
