Pakistani security forces eliminate 11 terrorists in the north-west of the country

At least 11 militants from one of the radical groups were eliminated during two operations by the Pakistani Security Forces in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This was announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the country's armed forces.

According to ISPR, 10 terrorists were eliminated during the operation in Dera Ismail Khan district, while another extremist was eliminated in North Waziristan. There were no casualties among the special forces. Weapons and ammunition were confiscated from the scene of the clash.

The situation in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sharply deteriorated after the radical group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, banned in Pakistan, announced at the end of October 2022 the termination of the truce with the government of the Islamic Republic that had been in force since June 2022. Pakistan's army and law enforcement agencies continue to combat the spread of the terrorist threat in the region. According to the provincial department Ministry of Internal Affairs 88 terrorists were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from January 1 to April 11.
