People preparing terrorist attack detained in Turkey

Turkish security forces detained militants plotting a terrorist attack in Istanbul.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of them was crafting powerful explosives, Halk TV reports. In addition to this person, seven more were detained. Police seized a large amount of components for making explosive devices.

The terrorist attack was being prepared on behalf of the Islamic State terrorist group.
