41 people detained on suspicion of links to ISIS in Turkey

Turkey has detained 41 people suspected of having links with Islamic State militants, the Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, according to Reuters report.

According to Yerlikai’s statement on the social network X, the arrests took place during operations in 12 provinces.

Last week, Turkey detained 36 people on suspicion of links to the Islamic State during operations in four provinces.

At that point, the police detained people who were involved in financing and providing supplies for the group. Several unlicensed rifles and pistols were seized as part of the operation.
