A foreigner was detained in the Altai Territory for publicly justifying terrorism

The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Altai Territory prevented a crime aimed at publicly justifying a proscribed terrorist organization.

It was established that a 20-year-old foreigner, while in Barnaul and using his account in the Telegram messenger, publicly justified the activities of a foreign terrorist organization. He did this by engaging in discussions, distributing photos and videos on social media.

The foreign citizen was detained. The FSB Investigative Department has opened a criminal case against him. The foreigner has been charged. At the request of the investigator, the court chose a restraint measure in the form of detention.
