TEHRIK-E TALIBAN PAKISTAN FIELD COMMANDER AND OTHER MILITANTS ELIMINATED IN PAKISTAN
In the course of a counter terrorist operation held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, the special services eliminated a field commander of the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP, banned in the Russian Federation) and four militants.
The operation took place in the district of North Waziristan. The terrorists offered resistance and were eliminated. A serviceman of the national Armed Forces was killed in the shootout. According to security service representatives, the eliminated militants were involved in attacks on military and civilians in the province.
At the end of last week, the United States added three TTP field commanders to the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs). In response, the Pakistani Taliban said they regret this decision by Washington, emphasizing that the group has no foreign ambitions and all its goals are within Pakistan.
