A terrorist supporter sentenced in Karaganda, Kazakhstan

In the city of Karaganda, a court hearing was held on a criminal case investigated by the Department of National Security in the Karaganda region under Part 2 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Propaganda of terrorism using mass media or telecommunications; public calsl to commit a terrorist attack).

According to the case materials, the accused person, born in 1990, openly supported and promoted the actions of the ISIS foreign terrorist organization on social media. He also contacted a foreign national of radical views and sought ways to enter the conflict zone.

As a result, the court sentenced the citizen to 7 years in prison.
