UN REPORT: DAESH USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN SOME DISTRICTS OF IRAQ

UN experts have confirmed that the Daesh terrorist organization carried out chemical weapons attacks in the Iraqi districts where it was located between 2014 and 2019.

Agence France-Presse has published a report prepared by the UN investigative team to hold Daesh accountable for the crimes committed which are supported by testimonies.

The report submitted for discussion in the Security Council says that Daesh manufactured rocket and mortar shells, other ammunition and improvised explosive devices filled with chemicals.

It is indicated that on March 8, 2016, chemical weapons were used in an attack on the Iraqi city of Tuz-Khurmato, whose residents currently suffer from numerous health issues.
