FSB officers detain a foreigner in Petrozavodsk

FSB officers, with the support of Russian National Guard soldiers, detained a foreigner in Petrozavodsk. He is suspected of financing terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the FSB Directorate for Karelia.

According to the department, the person corresponded in instant messengers and social media with users involved in the activities of a foreign terrorist organization banned in Russia. He also collected money and transferred it to representatives of this organization.

A criminal case has been initiated against the foreigner under the article on promoting terrorist activities. The man has been arrested.
