The SCO pointed to an increase in the number of terrorists in Afghanistan

A threat of members of terrorist structures entering the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) from Afghanistan, using passports from third countries, still exists.

This was stated by the director of the executive committee of the SCO RATS Ruslan Mirzaev during the meeting of the Chairmen of the Supreme Courts of the SCO member states.

He also pointed out that there is a growth in the number of terrorist structures in Afghanistan.

“A serious challenge to the security of the SCO member states is the growing number of terrorist structures in Afghanistan itself, including in its northern regions,” Mirzayev said.

He indicated that RATS observes the infiltration and redeployment of militants of the Islamic State terrorist organization from the Iraqi-Syrian zone to Afghanistan.
