The German government will simplify deportation for approving terror

From now on, it will be easier for the migration authorities of German federal states to revoke residence permits and, in some cases, deport foreigners who approve of the actions of terrorists. The German government has adopted a corresponding bill presented by German Interior Minister Nancy Feser, news agencies reported, citing sources in the cabinet.

According to the document, from now on it will be enough for a foreigner in Germany to approve a single terrorist attack to have their residence permit revoked. The person does not even need to make a comment; a “like” reaction under a post on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or other social network will suffice.

The German government responded in this way to hate posts that appeared online after the attack by militants of Hamas terrorist group on Israel or after the deadly knife attack on participants in an anti-Islamic event in Mannheim at the end of May. This is when a 25-year-old Afghan man killed a policeman with a knife. The attacker came to Germany while still a minor and had a residence permit in Germany due to the fact that he had two children with a German citizen.
