More than 850 terrorists killed in Nigeria in a month

Nigerian government forces eliminated more than 850 terrorists in the country last June. Nigerian Army spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi made this known at a media briefing. “Over the past month, 857 terrorists were killed, another 1,638 people were arrested on suspicion of terrorist activities. 921 hostages who were in the hands of militants were released. 894 weapons and more than 21 thousand cartridges were discovered and seized,” TASS quoted him as saying. Adejobi noted that operations to eliminate militants were carried out primarily in northern Nigeria, where radical groups are active.
