Turkish security services detained 45 suspects linked to ISIS

Turkish security services have detained 45 people on suspicion of links to the Islamic State terrorist group. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ali Erlikaya.

“As part of operations against ISIS terrorist group carried out in 16 provinces, 45 people were detained,” the minister wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Detentions took place in Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya, among others.

Turkish intelligence services regularly conduct operations against ISIS. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during one year more than 3 thousand people were detained in Turkey on suspicion of connections with the Islamic State.
