FOUR TERRORISTS ELIMINATED IN SHOOTOUT WITH POLICE IN NORTHWEST PAKISTAN

Four terrorists were killed during a shootout with police officers in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in north-western Pakistan. This was announced by the official spokesman of the local police department.

The incident took place in Nowshera County, where the counterterrorism department conducted a search-and-destroy operation based on intelligence on the militants' whereabouts, the spokesman said.

During the operation, the terrorists opened fire on a group of policemen. The police returned fire and killed the four attackers.

The identities of the killed terrorists have not been disclosed.

The police also seized weapons and ammunition from the eliminated fighters.
