A Kerman terror attack plotter detained in Iran

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence detained one of the main orchestrators of the terrorist attack in the city of Kerman, which took place in January and killed almost 100 people, TASS reports, citing the ministry’s report. The defendant's name is Abdullah Quetta. It is mentioned that the information received from him helped uncovering a number of other important conspiracies.

In addition to the above-mentioned achievements, one of the most important is the detention and transfer to the country of one of the main organizers of the terrorist attack in Kerman under the name Abdullah Quetta, the report says.

The terrorist attack in Kerman took place on January 3, 2024. Two powerful explosions occurred during mourning processions in memory of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in early 2020 during a US-led operation in the Baghdad area. According to some reports, terrorists detonated two explosive-filled suitcases remotely.
