Omsk city court arrested a native of Central Asia and his accomplice for raising funds to procure weapons for militants of Katiba Tawhid Wal-Jihad terrorist organization. This was announced on Monday, July 15, by the official spokesperson of the Russian Federal Security Service for the region Irina Rusnak.

– A criminal case has been initiated under articles related to terrorism. An accomplice who lived in Omsk was taken into custody by court decision, Rusnak said.

The terrorists' accomplices established contacts with an internationally wanted emissary of the organization, and then they started mobilising funds to finance weapons for the militants and studied methods of making explosive devices and mining technologies, TASS reports.
