A resident of the Orenburg region was transferring funds to finance terrorism in the Middle East. He was imprisoned for a total of 12 years.

According to the Russian FSB Directorate for the Orenburg Region, in 2022, a 45-year-old man several times transferred money to a person who was in one of the countries in the Middle East and participated in hostilities as part of a foreign terrorist organization. The Orenburg resident knew that the funds would be used to prepare and commit terrorist attacks. He admitted this in court.

The man also posted texts on his social media page that are qualified as justification of terrorism and the development of its ideology.
