Open Air preventive activities in Kazakhstan
Specialists from the Center for Analysis and Development of Interfaith Relations, jointly with the Youth Resource Center, organized outreach work in the “Open Air” format in the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region.
Citizens were approached in places of mass gathering of people and at Rakhmet shopping center and given brochures with information about the dangers of looking for religious knowledge online, as well as the criminal consequences of joining terrorist and extremist organizations banned in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Recommendations were provided on how not to fall under the influence of radical ideologists and not become a victim of recruitment.
During the meetings, city residents were given the opportunity to talk to the specialists in the field of theology, psychology and jurisprudence and receive detailed answers to their questions.
This preventive activity helped the participants improve their religious and legal literacy and informed them about the Support Hotline available.
