Terrorist attack in Somalia leaves more than 30 people dead
At least 32 people were killed and dozens injured when a suicide bomber and gunmen attacked a popular beach and Beach View hotel in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Friday, August 2. This was reported by the BBC.
It is known that at least 32 civilians were killed and about 63 wounded, with some of the victims being in critical condition.
Local media reports that the attack was carried out by militants from the al-Shabaab group, which controls large parts of southern and central Somalia.
It is known that at least five people were involved in the attack. One of them was a suicide bomber, three others were eliminated, and one was captured alive.
It is also reported that a policeman was killed during the arrest, and another was wounded.
