At least three army personnel were killed and four terrorists were eliminated in a shootout in Khyber Agency of northwestern Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Armed Forces said.

According to a statement issued by the ISPR, shootouts between security forces and terrorists took place at three different locations in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.

"During the intense shootout, three brave sons of our land fought valiantly and embraced martyrdom," the ISPR added.

The statement added that security forces were conducting clearance operations to eliminate all terrorists found in the area. The Pakistani security forces are determined to eradicate the terrorist menace, the ISPR added.
