German Interior Minister Nancy Feser said that the level of terrorism threat in Germany remains high after three concerts by American singer Taylor Swift were cancelled in Austria.

"Our country is also in the spotlight of jihadist organizations, especially the Islamic State and its most dangerous offshoot at the moment, the Islamic State in Khorasan.

Terrorist organizations, as well as individual criminals who often radicalize by themselves, pose a constant danger," Feser said after visiting the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, TASS reports. The minister stressed that one should not allow oneself to be intimidated. "But we take threats very seriously," she said.

Swift planned to perform in Vienna on August 8-10. A total of 190,000 tickets were sold for her three concerts. The organizers decided to cancel the events amid the arrest of suspects in the preparation of terrorist attacks. So far, three people have been arrested.
