At least 100 people were killed and 140 injured in a militant attack on the village of Barsalogou in central Burkina Faso, RFI radio reported, citing the national security forces.

According to TASS, APA reports that the attack took place on August 24. Terrorists attacked a group of people who were digging trenches to protect the city and opened fire on them. According to the national security service, the death toll is between 100 and 200 people, including military personnel and civilians.

According to the Burkina Faso security service, the terrorists seized a mobile hospital and weapons as a result of the attack.
