64 TERRORIST ATTACKS PREVENTED THIS YEAR IN RUSSIA

Terrorists have become more active in the Russian border regions. Director of the FSB of Russia Alexander Bortnikov stated this at a meeting of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC) yesterday. According to him, activity growth is observed primarily in the Central Federal District and the Southern Federal District.

“This is caused by both the reconnaissance and subversive activities of the Ukrainian security services, carried out with the support of Western countries led by the United States, and the attempts of supporters of foreign terrorist organizations to create undercover cells and commit terrorist crimes,” the head of the FSB explained.

According to the NAC, this year 123 terrorist crimes, including 64 terrorist attacks, were prevented in Russia at the preparation stage. In addition, the activities of 68 clandestine cells of foreign terrorists were suppressed.
